We continue to grow, and we want you to grow with us.Apex’s Rockies Division is expanding the water resources group and is looking for a Project Manager. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail orientated and has the people and technical compliance skills needed to manage a portfolio of client projects and mentor scientific and engineering staff. You will be a part of the water resources group’s management team and oversee operations of multiple successful projects while supporting growth with a water resources and environmental compliance focus.Your Responsibilities as a Project Manager:

  • Assist with or lead (depending on experience), a portfolio of environmental regulatory compliance projects, including stormwater compliance (construction, industrial, and MS4), rangeland reclamation, water resources or stream restoration, and other environmental related projects such as SPCC.
  • Analyze environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities.
  • Financial and technical management of projects.
  • Mentor scientific staff and supervise work product.
  • Oversee inspection records, SWMP diagrams and stormwater control measure maintenance items.
  • Develop reclamation/vegetation survey methodologies, inspection criteria and reports/plans.
  • Actively participate in a culture of safe work practices.
  • Write and review technical reports and proposals.
  • Conduct client meetings and develop relationships.
  • Define and develop your own professional growth.
What we’re looking for:
  • BS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or another related field.
  • 4-10 years of professional experience in consulting or industry.
  • Strong written communication skills, and collaborative work ethic.
  • Thorough understanding of environmental regulations at a Federal, State and Local level; including SPCC, NPDES &, CDPHE discharge permitting, COGCC/ECMC rules, and local GESC and stormwater permitting.
  • Accomplished project manager, highly organized with the ability to successfully multi-task and problem solve while maintaining quality.
  • Strong technical writing skills, safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are required.
  • Oil and gas industrial compliance and/or municipal permitting experience a plus.
  • Reclamation compliance experience. Familiar with Colorado Noxious Weed Species ID, quantitative/quantitative vegetation surveys and reclamation plan generation.
  • PEC SafeLand training, CPR/1ST Aid, 40-hour HAZWOPER or similar safety certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.
